Jennifer Hedican
~ Violinist
Jennifer
completed a Bachelor of Music
Performance at Wilfrid Laurier
University where she studied with Jeremy
Bell of the Penderecki String Quartet.
Jen has many years of experience playing
with quartets, ensembles, and orchestras
including the Apollo Chamber Ensemble,
the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra,
and the National Academy Orchestra with
conductor Boris Brott. Jennifer is
currently the Principal Second Violinist
for the North Bay
Symphony Orchestra.
Jennifer has
been teaching violin lessons for many
years and is currently offering lessons
through Brava Music
Studios
in North Bay. Her extensive study
in both the Suzuki Method as well as
with the Royal Conservatory allow her to
meet the needs of each student
individually.
Jennifer also
has experience playing piano & guitar
and as a singer/songwriter. She
was one of the founding members of the
Celtic Folk group Anam Cara where she
wrote and recorded songs for their album
'The Stone'. This influence of
Celtic and folk music adds to the skills
and flavor Jennifer brings to both her
teaching and performing.
